Reporting a problem
Including these details usually saves a round trip:
- Your iPhone model and iOS version (Settings → General → About).
- What you were doing when it went wrong — importing, waiting for the reel, rating clips, exporting.
- Roughly how many videos you imported and how long they were.
- A screenshot or screen recording, if the problem is something you can see.
Please don't send dive footage unless asked — it is rarely needed, and DiveCut is built so that your footage does not have to leave your phone.
Common questions
Does DiveCut need an internet connection? No. Everything runs on the device, which is the point — it works on a dive boat with no signal.
Where did my reel go? Reels stay in the app until you export them. Exporting saves to your photo library or hands the file to whichever app you pick.
How do I start over? Deleting a dive removes its clips, frames and scores. Deleting the app removes everything DiveCut has stored.
What does swiping actually do? Your ratings adjust how DiveCut weighs the signals it scores clips with, so later reels lean toward the kind of footage you keep.
Privacy
DiveCut collects no personal data and has no server. The details are in the privacy policy.
